Safe Ride Leader (SRL) Nomination

Tis time to nominate the folks the MH community feels deserve recognition for being consistently Safe Ride Leaders (SRL).

The point is two-fold: let's show appreciation for these riders' efforts, and let's provide a guide for noobs who may be nervous about their first big group rides.

Senatorís Critera A nice set of points to base decisions on.
http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=213475
  • This is a nomination thread only. I'll create a vote thread after this. Once the name is out there, don't keep repeating it.
  • You can nominate multiple people.
  • The deadline to post your response: this Thursday, Feb. 9th by 3:00pm
  • Nominees need to have a substantial number of rides under their belt. Don't post the name of someone who's been involved with less than at least 15 group rides.
  • I'll update the recognition list as time passes, so if you have someone who looks promising, save the name for later.

I don't ride anymore, but when I did. Cali, always level headed, and always safety concerned.

Quick amendment-- has led a minimum of 10 solid, safe rides.

this will be "unofficial" and not an endorsement by "motohouston" is that correct?
I mean I do not want Chris getting sued because some newbie goes down and then says he went on the ride because MOTOHOUSTON said it would be safe and he thought he would not get hurt...
maybe i am just over thinking this...

yes but up until now, those countless newbies have not been on rides following a motohouston endorsed Safe Ride Leader....
so I am just saying that maybe it should not be a motohouston endorsed title...lets face it , we all know who we would suggest for a newbie to ride with, we say it all the time on here, but up until now it has been an unofficial endorsement, the members opinions... if it becomes an endorsement in the form of a SRL from motohouston, that could change things..
but I am not a legal guru.. maybe one of the lawyers in here should chime in on this...

I don't know the legal ramifications, but MH the community not MH the entity is endorsing/recognizing the riders. I suspect the issue could be resolved in the way the riders' names are presented. The law often seems counter-intuitive and kooky to me, but I don't see how MH or anyone voted as a SRL assumes any additional responsibility. No one here has the authority to confer that. Does this mean then that any opinion on MH that leads to harm implies accountability?
