chase

About 30 minutes ago: 3 or 4 bikes just went SCREAMING past my home on I10 at downtown where it meets I45. They must have been doing 150+ and about 5 seconds later I realized why - sirens were following.

If it was you I hope you all made it out safe!!!

That sucks, more wanted criminals running at speeds in excess of 150 mph.
You think that the powers that be will let this stuff go on without coming up with BS excuses to hassle the rest of us who ride responsibly?
Geez, they it up for everyone.

Don't bet on it, but it may be a result of changes that many folx don't like.
Graduated licensing, or who knows what else.

Actually, Carlos, you probably are right. Its not going to get better.
Ulric is right. Whats gonna happen is the law makers are gonna force legislation down our throats and make it tougher to have these machines. Graduated licensing. Restricted horsepower for street machines and like that. How about 8% yearlytax on sportbikes as they are a high performance . Think about it. If I could come up with some BS reason to keep irresponsible people off their "crotch rockets" I'm sure an uneducated (about sportbikes) lawmaker could do much worse.

It's simple. If you have hazards lights on your bike. Use them and pull over. Every time I get pulled over it's the same thing.

The cop walks up jaw dropped asking why I pulled over Then starts telling me how sportbikes never pull over and how I could've just run, then all I get is a warning.

Ex. 1-10 east bound near Katy doing 96 in a 65. Warning ticket or Beechnut by 59 caught doing 55 in a 35 warning ticket.

Just pull over and be polite. just my .02

You run, you crash , you die, no rips from me, no collection for the cause, just another asshat not out there fooking it up for everyone else.
Not wishing harm to anyone, but not extending sorrow either....:eh:

As for tiered licensing, I am for it, then again, I have had my MC endorsement since 86, so I am sure it would not effect me.....:laughing6

Probably some cheap copycats from the chase the other day.

I just don't see where running from cops like a chicken is cool or anything.

I am with jrock, ulric and badmatt625 on that.
