With your attitude about the whole situation, I think if this guy can do it, there is no reason you won't succeed if it's what you want.

Yeah I saw that a while back. He is a T-8 and I am a T3. Huge difference He has a lot of torso support that I don't. I have only muscles from the armpits up and he has down to his belly button or maybe more further down depending on the completness of his injury.

As far as the cost of his modifictations...
Most of the stuff us one off custom made on those machines. Like Ricky James dirtbike. www.rickyjames824.com

Here is a guy that had a similar setup: Stewart Goddard http://ra.disabilityexpo.com/unusual/stewart.htm

The Kilktronic Shifter is ~$800
The pneumatic one on that bike isn't too reliable IMHO. You have multiple points of failure from the air going out to air leaks and then also the solenoids going out.
I have a Pingel Electric one one for my Raptor that kills the ignition for clutchless shifting.:icon_bigg I paid $525.00 for it thanks to my dealer hookup. :icon_bigg

Then the outriggers are made out of the 12v trunk pop actuators you see on cars in the music videos. They run about $200.00 a piece.

Add in some fabrication time and such and you are looking at a chunk of change.

If you paid someone to make that you would be looking at $5-6K easily.

My truck is very similar. It is a one off custom made thing where the camper top frame is custom made and it lifts up and to the side where my lift for my chair comes out to pick up the chair. The work done for it cost $9400. If I was to do it myself, it would have cost substantually less. If you had seen American Chopper where they built a trike for a guy, you would have seen one in action.

Making fun stuff for handicaps is big business. Too bad I didn't see a market for it a long time ago.
