Ducati Stard vs KTM Super Duke2

Kinda thinkin about either..
I have ridden the Duke, it seemed a lil weak for my taste but it was stock...
Have not ridden a Ducati yet.
I know the Duke is a lil less expensive and 1st gear seemed a lil short too
Thoughts anyone?

Super duke-Rotax FTW!! I've ridden both, the Hypermotard was very underpowered and tricky to ride at the track. The SD felt more stable and sounded like with Leo pipes on it...

Super Duke...very confidence inspiring bike...depends on the duc, the hyper looks awesome but is way under powered...ktm was also easier on the insurance...

I like the lines on this Duc

I would prefer the all black Duke vs the orange

I agree, the black 990 KTM is good looking, I'm not a fan of the orange either...

I bought a Duc streetfighter about 3 weeks ago. What an unbelievably badass bike!
When they were talking about underpowered I was like, "What"?
Then I realized they meant the hypermotard. I can't say about that but the streetfighter is defintely NOT underpowered.
If you are considering it, I recommend it!
Just go easy on the throttle 'til you get used to it.

blaknwite has an 07 SD, all black that he may be willing to part with.

Byrdman has seen it. Leo Ti cans, and R&G crash protection.

It is really easy to ride slowly or quickly.

the Duke has a much better motor and the suspension is excellent. I rode a bone stock one at TWS (Texas World Speedway) and was amazed how smoothly it handled the transition from the front straight away to turn one at 130mph. not a single twitch or a bobble. the Duke is the better bang for your buck
