I like it. I also like the Versys and the Ninja 650. For street use, they make sense. Of course, I'm getting older...

I also loved the older TDM850 that didn't sell worth a flip here. Found one on TWT, seriously have thought about making a run at it...

Plus because it's so ugly I only paid 6k for my Versys when it was new.
Uh, the Honda wet (full fuel tank) is 17.8 pounds heavier than the Kawi dry. The Kawi has 21 fewer CCs. Where'd you get the HP info?

The 2011 Versys is $7,699 and the 2012 Honda is $6,999. My search shows the Versys with 8 more HP

Decent looks, good fuel economy, beginner friendly ergos, and affordable MSRP. All in all a very practical bike for daily use.

The problem is, here in the states, most riders don't want practical bikes. Not everyone rides a motorcycle as their primary form of transportation so we treat them more like expensive toys than vehicles. In poorer countries, a motorcycle like this would be great for the person who needs a practical motorcycle for everyday use.

I was reading it a review on it, I was like wow, stats are very similar to the FZ6R, until I read the 6400RPM fuel cut and single front disc. Cheesy. 75mpg is nice though.

I like it and would definatly put it in with a short list of bikes I would consider.

However after going over the stats and options available I honestly would go with the NT700V.

Here me out on this. First I have found with out some kind of storage the bike no longer appeals to me. I like my stuff and that is just all there is to it. Second it has an ABS option and I would definatly want that in this wonderful weather cauldron we call Houston. A taller windscreen and maybe even a center stand too. So we add all that up to the bill and BAM! That thing is pushing 10 grand if not easily over.
Like the concept for a good all around bike. I just think Honda can really do much better, still its a nice start.
