Did a little reading on it.
Seems like it would be a great commuter / weekend bike.
Comfy ergos, good field of view, low center of gravity, and the "tank" is actually a storage compartment that can fit a full face helmet inside.

That is cool and is a great idea for commuters with fuel capacity 3.7 gallons

The new NC700X offers a 21-liter utility compartment, big enough to hold most full-face helmets. Safe, secure, and convenient, you'll use it every time you ride.

Bikes like this will get more people riding

Relatively low cost of entry/ownership, un-intimidating power, good ergos, and decent looks make for a solid package.

Honestly, nobody in the states will buy it. All we care here is about image. So that means cruisers and 1000cc supersports.

It sucks, but its true.

I like that, but I'm waiting for the CrossTourer!

I think it may be my first "brand new bike" purchase if they ever make their way over here. Throw some hard luggage on it and roll out.

Seems like motard popularity is on the rise, and yea, I know the NC700X is not a motard

I was thinking if they shaved off some of the weight, and made the rear sit higher...........

I Europe absolutely. Here in the States I doubt it for the reasons po-po stated:

However it may pull some from the Wee-Strom market, we'll see.

I really like it, especially for the price. It looks like it would be a great commuter.

I think Honda is looking to broaden their line. Maybe they will come out with something more like the CBR250R, but with more oomph. Entry level bikes are very limited: not many good choices out there.

Part of the problem is most of the standards and smaller bikes offered in the states are ancient or clearly an afterthought in the lineup. Bikes like this, new and thoughtfully designed, potentially open up the market.

I'da rather have the Versys, with it's 10 more horsepower and 50 less cc's. And 1.3 gallons more fuel... and lighter weight 72 pounds less... and dual disc front brakes... uhhh sorry... lol

Plus because it's so ugly I only paid 6k for my Versys when it was new.
