I put mine under the seat on all my bikes. It has worked good so far...

Haven't had a chance to test it against a gate-controlled EZ Tag lane yet, though. I can just see having to shut off the engine so I can pull the key and remove the rear seat so the tag can be read Will report back...
.
Don't do that, you'll just cause a mini traffic jam.
Commuters aren't happy when they have to wait longer than 15 secs.
Just honk and flag the toll booth lady and they should open it for you.
THEN you know you have to adjust it before you try the gated EZ tag lanes.

And, yes, try to put it in with the adhesive side up.

Weird I was expecting hints on how to run the eztag lanes. Kudos MH!

Except you'll have to duck the gated ones.

Really? Fishing around to turn it horizontal? Pulling the seat?

Duck the gate or lift it over your head and keep going. I've done it in my S10 pickup numerous times cause the EZ tag didn't work. It's registered... they charge as normal.

But yeah, mine is strapped (adhesive down) under the seat.

That's strange, because they recommend that you mount the tag on the windshield. I put my EZTag in the hump at the rear of the bike.

Just because they can; doesn't mean you should...

I used to keep mine in my jacket in the chest pocket but then I thought a) what if someone steals my jacket and b) more importantly, what happens if I go down with a 1/2" block with all kinds of sharp stuff inside and land on my chest?

To be safe, I now have it under my seat with my insurance.
