Anyone going to, or around, New Orleans for the hoolidays?

Alright I found myself a new, to me, bicycle (Trek 2100) in Hammond, LA. Its by New Orleans and Baton Rouge. It weighs about 20lbs. If you are going around that area and live in Houston or surrounding areas, have the ability to haul it and can bring it back that would be awsome. I could drive up to houston and pick it up. I would be more then grateful plus it would be save me a bunch of money. Thanks!!!

Why not have it shipped via FedEx? I have done this several times. Just go to a bike shop and ask for a box that they received a new bike in and pack it up and ship it. Cost me about $30. I just sent 2 snowboards from Chicago to Houston (send it to a business, it's cheaper...i.e. the company you work for) in a "modified" bike box and it cost me $21 with $400/insurance. Just a thought.

Yeah dbuckzx7 beat me to it. Much easier just to ship unless seller is not willing to ship.

Yeah i think i might go that way. I have talked to the seller though and the bike is actually a 2004, i thought it was a 2006 (thats what the ad said anyways). So i dont think i am going to pull the trigger. Shame to, it was my size
