Let's see if this works. TAKE IT TO THE TRACK (noob edition)

I have come up with what I think will be a great idea and something for us to help promote safer riding and make a better rider.

Let's help noobs get to the track!

I have been throwing around the idea of helping new people that have not done trackdays get their first track experience. Like it happened to me, once I did it, I was hooked and wanted to keep attending more. However, I realize some people at times need an extra push, help or motivation.

What better way than to get the community here behind them and sponsor New Track Days.

The way it will work so far:

I have spoken to the track organizations and asked if they could give a form of discount, Fastline was awesome and offered 25% off (just for this deal) of course Ride Smart offers their 50% off.

What will happen from there is that I will set up a Paypal account that will accept donations from the MH or motorcycle community. Nothing extravagant is being asked, a $1 here in one month might not be any to you guys, but no one is forced. I, myself will commit to
$25 monthly towards the account and depending on the amount of money collected, will depend on the amount of trackdays purchased for a noob, or however much is collected will go toards it for a noob, and they can cover the rest.

I know there is going to be questions regarding keeping track of the money and this is what I have come up with:

I will open an account with another member Just for the paypal account, I will post the Statements every month so that everyone can see the ins and outs of the account. There will be ONE debit card from that account that someone else will manage (to make the purchase of the track days). So that this is as open and you guys have the peace of mind that the money is going where it needs to.

*The days will go to active noobs and noobs that are deserving and have actually plugged into the community... It would help if you have done parade laps and such....*

I have not worked out all he kinks, but I'm posting for sugestions.

This would be a great opportunity for all of us that preach safe riding and taking to track, to do something about it..

And start putting a better image about what the Motorcycle community stands behind.

Suggestions on how to make this work will be appreciated and if there are any other organizations that want to help, please let us know.

Thank you for reading.

Excuse my grammar and misspells...

Is this just for thier first hit? I would not want to pay for someone else to ride track all the time but atleast to just get thier cherry popped.
I would also like to see if they need to borrow gear to make it happen.

Yes.

First time track riders ONLY.

They get to pic whatever organization, one offers the gear, but there are also a lot of people that are willing to let people borrow leathers too.

So, it will be up to the chosen noobs where they go, I just want them out there, and if I can help, I will.

I'm down, if you need help, I can do that too.

Also, I can loan certain gear if needed, and my help wrenching in getting a bike track ready and such.

fyi, i LOVE this idea... obviously i'd like to see it a little more skewed, but saving lives is what Ride Smart is all about, so ANY school is better than no school.

some. a lot of guys will go track only, or get a slower, more hooliganistic bike for the street, and keep the "160+ machine" for the track only.

Yes.

But this is not a discussion about that...people will ride how they choose to ride..

The track will give them the chance to have skills that will save them from simple mistakes..

How they choose to use those skills is up to them...

Now again this is all I will say about this on this thread, because that is not what this thread is intended for.

No it is not.. I have been promoting track for a while now...

I have the opportunity to monetarily help in some way so I'm doing it.

Don't confuse a positive with a negative, this was not inspired from that.

It was inspired by the good the track provides and the fact that a lot of people always say "take it to the track" this is their chance to stand behind it and do something.

So please, again I'm not discussing it further, this is for suggestions on how to make this work.

Period.
