A lot of people died on I-10 drivng as well....

Also, it wasn't somebody in our group that killed themselves....

I think we all know the risks of riding a bike at excessive speeds...

yes we do, and we also know that there are folks on THIS forum who at times ignore those risks, both to themselves and others on the road...
and we also know that they do not listen when others talk about it...
so it is almost a waste of time to do so... it only helps in the sense of a vent...and when those fools do go down we still say the RIP thing even if they do not deserve it...

My understanding is that because of their weight, a motorcycle poses very little if any danger to the occupants of a car or truck. Whenever I see high-speed motorcycles while in my cage I'm not concerned about my safety or the safety of the other drivers - just the guys on two wheels.

If they hit you the worst that would happen is that they didn't carry liability and you were unable to successfully sue their estate. You'd be out some cash for the repairs. They'd be out... well, their life. I'm much more worried about my safety when a tuner Benz or Mustang whooshes past me. I don't want something that big and heavy plowing into the back of my vehicle.

Wait, OP, were you really going 75 in the left lane?

(If this is true, you probably shouldn't have been in that lane- not that fly-by's and weaving are OK either, just saying!)

And thanks to the OP for assuming you could find the riders in question here. Great approach to come here and start pointing fingers and proselytizing your safety message.. on your 22nd post since '09.

Not sure who are the bigger douchebags, the riders or the author of the rant.
^^^ What Curt said

And welcome to MH. Just FYI you will see this again it's normal thing here.

Hmmm, I looked a bit and found plenty of bikers killed by cars, but none (or almost none) of cagers killed by bike collisions. Do you have any links to share? Maybe I'm searching for it wrong. Genuinely puzzled here, since bikes have such low mass and would do less damage in comparison to a car/car collision.

F = (M)(A). With enough A, a little M can pack a whole lot of F.

I heard they are opening a new Starbucks in Katy. Maybe they wanted to get a front row spot. I-10 is the US version of Germany autobahn you really shouldn't be in the fast line driving 75mph.
