I don't even know where Halbert is. I'm off of Harkey/O'day.

If anyone saw a blue 06 6R on the back of a truck today. . . that was my POS.

Headlight went out in June, so it's been to the shop three times for that(only worked on twice) and then about two months ago I went to leave work and it wouldn't start. Took it to the dealer for this(and the light problem again) but the headlight went out on the way home. . . and today it decided to shut off on me on the freeway heading to my grandmothers house to put up Christmas lights.:mumum:

I wouldn't really call it new anymore though. In the few months it hasn't been in the shop, it's had a 5mph parking lot fall that scratched up the right side fairly well, and 6,400 miles. I absolutely LOVE this bike though. . . . . .when it runs.

Sounds like you need to get rid of this one because it has been more trouble than fun the way you sounded. Tell the Dealer that under lemon laws they had 3 try to fix the problem if not, then you could file a lemon law complaints with the dealer that sold you the POS.

There IS a lemon law in Texas. It DOES deal with repeat attempts to fix the same problem. I'm not sure of the details but it isn't often you hear of a modern bike having so much trouble from the get go.
I think you should at least look into it. Under some circumstances they have to replace the vehicle, that would be a good thing.

There is. I skimmed over it last time because it sat at the dealer for a month and a half. I could have lemoned it then, but I really do love that bike. If the situation looks to be shaping up the same way as last time, I plan on looking further into it.

Anyways, it's back at the dealer after breaking down and near throwing me off today after jerking pretty violently. I'd hate to see what would happen if I was in a turn and it did that. I've had it back MAYBE three weeks with maybe around 250-400 miles on it, and the dealer wants me to pay for them to come pick it up. . . we'll see where that goes.:eh:

If the dealer told me to pay for them to come pick it up id tell em to shove it up their a$$ and pursue this lemon law with a vengeance. You just spent probably close to 9k on this bike!!!

I can see how you might really love that bike and the hassle of fighting the dealer with the lemon law might seem overwhelming but...
You paid your money and deserve a safe, reliable bike! It is unusual for a bike to have any problems at all and for yours to be such a POS is not only unfair but it sounds kinda dangerous (as if riding aint dangerous enough).
As far as your love of the bike I think you could grow to love another that, looks the same and always runs, just as much!
I say go for it!
Good Luck
