Question MH Safe Leader/Rider Recogniction

Here are two posts from another thread:

It got me to thinking. I'd like to start a nomination thread then, ultimately, a vote thread for people who are consistently safe ride leaders/mentors/or otherwise consistently sane while riding the streets. Perhaps they could get some kind of recognizable icon or something in their siggie or next to their name? It'd be a nice way for new folks to identify members the community at large hold in high regard.

Thoughts? Potential pitfalls? Of course, this doesn't mean anyone without one is a rider, but it'd give noobs a fighting chance to have some positive experiences. As time goes on, perhaps 3 or 4 times a year we can run the poll and update the info as people come and go.

Had a smoke and decided it'd prolly be easier to simply keep a stickied post with names at the top of the Events/Meets/Rides thread. Less maintenance and opportunity for rly-not-funny jackasses to horse around.

You're fortunate--I've heard quite a few horror stories from new riders over the years. And let's keepz it real; I value good decision making and independent thinking; I try to live my life by the principle of act not react, but when I first left the stunt lots and started riding the streets with people I was prompted to ride way--and I mean way--out of my skill level several times. I should have left; we always have that choice, knows, but most of us know what it's like to be in that place.

Longdraw does a good job at keeping a comfortable pace for both, experienced and noobs..

Been on a ride with Dannyboy, and he comes well prepared for rides (useful info on route dangers...etc)..

Overall, I strongly believe that each individual rider should make an effort to stay well below their riding limits to enjoy a safe street ride.....Know when to back off or split off from the group if they start feeling overwhelmed by the pace or number of riders..

These need to be people that can lead a ride with multiple groups of different experience and actually cares about every rider in the group.
They are the ones that are equally willing to be a sweeper on any given ride.
They know where noobs belong in the group.
They need to know all hand signs.
They need to know how to safely navigate a group through traffic.

Not just someone who knows a route or is fast and at the front of the pack...

We just gotta make sure this doesn't turn into a popularity contest. Like some of the guidelines Senator posted--what others can you guys think of? What criteria make an all-around safe rider for noobs?
