Wink Money Making Schemes--Moto Related

I'm always thinking of quick ways to make a buck. When I was a kid, I used to gather up my dad's half burned smokes, package 10 per ziplock bag and sell them to neighborhood kids for a dollar. Would cut out the "racy" pages from books I picked up at garage sales, highlight the good stuff and sell a page for fifty cents (mind you this was in like 3rd-5th grade). Anyway, I have a few in mind for some of you guys.

1. Remember the trailer that logged miles for those who went to shows but didn't want to be laughed at for low mileage? Perhaps some of you could offer to burn off the chicken strips...or at least lower them to not-so-laughable levels.

2. A few of you have witnessed my continuous whining about my stiff jacket. Perhaps someone would pay for a gear-breaker-in-ner. I hate new clothes. Hand me downs rock. Oh yeah. . .maybe the world needs a 2nd hand moto-clothing store. Hmm, maybe we could have a MH garage sale?

What other schemes can you guys think of? Surely over the years you've thought of ways to capitilize of some of the attitudes that go along with the scene.

Sorry! I have cabin fever. :icon_bigg

No one will ever take you seriously when you use use the word "scheme" and "money" together. Heres one. Buy a mill, lathe and a CNC machine and start making custom parts.

Scrapp--what do you use? I have a canon AE1, but I never became proficient. Digital is much more forgiving and affordable for me. Do you ever ride to places to take pics? What do you like to shoot? Mostly people...places...cemeteries :laughing6 I'm almost out of my cemetery phase.

Have you seen the guys at high school sport events and such taking pics? I was curious and asked one once if it was his weekend hobby or something. Yeah right. He bankrolls.

I have a canon digi-rebel. I mostly end up doing cars, because its a subject I like, My requirements are getting up at 4-5am, so we have time to get out to the scenary that will best match their car, and giving me time to take photos w/o anyone around to walk/drive in the way.
Sometimes We can do it in the middle of the day, but it depends on where they want it, so we can get away from people.
I also do people and scenary, but that sometimes is few.
Im still amature, Would like to look into making it something serious.

Hey Scrapp!

Nice work! I went to your myspace and saw the Morning Glory Photoshoot pics. The (I assume rising sun) pic with the mustang is very clean looking. I like the mix of modern and old industrial too.

Last week I tried to capture a nice pic of a blue WRX and my bike (orange 600rr). Tried nose to nose in the sun, out of the sun, canted, etc., but it just wasn't working. They looks so. . .snapshot-ish that I hate them. Of course, I was taking them in the driveway :eh: so I shouldn't complain.

If you--or any other amateur photographers here--ever want to take a photo-day-trip, let me know.

That was kind of a frankenstein photoshoot. Multipule people (with the same cars) were supposed to show up, but only one had the to wake up, so I dont really like the theme of two diffrent cars, but some of the single ones I like. Here. You might like this. These are a few from a recent shoot,
These are all unedited (granted photoshop makes them look awesome, I just dont like "cheating")
http://www.houston-imports.com/~scra...photo/crro.htm

I have another photoshoot coming up soon, that one Im REALLY excited about

Well, that's it. We need a just need someone to volunteer a garage/long driveway and someone to mix drinks. Somehow I've managed to romantisize the idea of drinking mimosas in a lawn chair while having a garage sale. :laughing6

yes, I agree and think its a kick idea that would catch on indeed.
In the Jeep clubs, we used to have a swap meet once a month and it was a great way to stay in touch with each other and also find killer parts for cheap and make new friends.
I'm in.

I do photography work here and there when i need some extra cash its always a great thing when you can charge people crazy amounts... not saying i would charge any of you guys the same as avg. joe's... as far as the Cannon AE-1 that is a hard camera to use. But if you have a darkroom avaliable and know people that want to have black and white pictures taken, saling 8x10 photo's developed by hand you can charge as much as 35 bucks a photo i sent a bill to the local college for 100 bucks today haha
