Talking PoPo's and Ridin ...

...Here's one for the memory book. Last night another rider and I set off on 149 for a laid back night run thru the forest. After shaking the dust off our pipes on the short stretch from Magnolia to Montgomery we hit the gas pump on 105 and 149 for a fuel check to make the 149-run...never made it, and before we cleared the 30mph zone Montgomery City was behind us with red&blues twirling and a few Sheriff units in tow. After a fewhard words of warning on the fender eliminator kits on the bikes they managed to pull an old warrant I had on Drving on Suspended License. So bike towed/cuffs put on. A ride to county and a P.R. bond put me back out the door this morning. The beautiful thing is I still got a lil riding in before the sun peeked out ..even if it was riding b'tch on the back of a down a$$ chicks bike when she scooped me from county this A.M

.....much props to Lil Sweet Pea for making sure the last rider makes it home!

+1 IF YOUR ON A SPORTBIKE

I think you could be on a Harley going 30 over with blood stained clothes and a 12 Gauge slung over your back. Next to the corpse thats flopped over the back of the bike. While high on meth and popping wheelies on 105 and waiving at the police and you wouldnt get with.

There court system is just as much of a pain in the as well.

i doubt anyone gets pulled over for a fender eliminator kit. I'd be willing to bet they are getting pulled for license plate placement.

Yes. Really. I've had fender eliminator kits on every bike I've ridden.
I've been in front or passed a few officers on 105/149 and never gotten pulled over.

Just thought it was interesting...

After 6 yrs of riding past pct 8 constables on the Beltway on Repsol i got pulled for "Obstructed plate" . After being told , i kept my cool and told the officer that the plate was vertical, unobstrcted from any angle and properly lit, he replied -"well its under the bike , but ok, I'll be back..." he went to the car for a while and when he came back he let it go-no ticket. I think it was just an excuse to pull me over(headed to work at 330am) . He may have been checking for drunks or whatever but it took 2 of em to ck me out. No ticket and they were polite and professional even if the stop was kinda bs.

This cop was looking for a reason.. he wasn't in sight when we turned and suddenly was behind us right before city limit.. just so he could try n find reasons for tickets.

They will, and sometimes they do, I agree.

All I'm saying is that in 11 years of riding, I've yet to hear of someone getting pulled over only for a LEGIT fender eliminator kit. If they are pulling over to dig more and really be an , they would at least give the reason of "no blinker, rolling through a sign, loud exhaust, etc". Something that would allow for a bigger ticket, not because of a fender eliminator.

It IS interesting.

Better luck than me

Only thing I got a ticket for was expired insurance. Which I had but hadn't put the new one in my wallet yet. Wasnt speeding, plate and tags werent hidden, no wreckless driving etc

group of harleys roll by they dont blink an eye.

group of sportbikes roll by in the same fasion.

they hurry back to their car and bust a U turn after them.

Maybe it was just a one time thing?
