Douche Drivers

Most of the time when I ride I always get the douche that thinks hes faster than a motorcycle. They usually drive cars that are nowhere near capable but smash the gas just to try to prove some point. I recorded this douche when I was on my way to nowhere.

i'm prolly not going to be real popular, but you are calling him a douche. why the were you pacing him? why were you egging it on? why didn't you just let him do his business instead of showing him your bike is faster?

Mainly because I was bored. And I wanted something to record. Yeah I paced him. The point I'm making is people actually think they are faster in their grocery getter. Whether I pace them or not. That's the douche part.

Perhaps I am a douche too. I'm willing to live with that.

lemme explain human nature to you. people want to be infront of a pack no matter what YOU are driving. when I was on the road driving commercially, I could be going 10 over the limit and people would still want to be in front of me. once up front, they would slow down cause they realized they did not want to be going that fast so I would have to pass them. this happened daily. so it isn't a motorcycle thing really. and to avoid it, just let them go. YOU know your bike is faster, why risk a ticket to prove something that you already know?

I wasn't trying to show him my bike is faster. I egged him on because I wanted to share a video rather than making some long post that nobody wants to read about douche drivers. People like visuals. I paced him for the sake of the video.

well i see douches everyday on the road. the ones i hate the most are the ones that dont wait their turn in line. they try cutting right before the split.

you egged him on and compromised your own safety to make this video. you can youtube this all day, every day. some with more expensive, nicer, faster cars. but already lots to look at.

sorry, might sound like the douche, but just stating fact.

It's ok. That's a risk I was willing to take. Anyway I did the speed limit (or at least close to it) half the time. That's more times than most bike riders on the street.

I don't see him being incredibly reckless on this video...

Did you see how many times the car had to hit the brakes?

So far I haven't really come across this kind of thing all that much. Every once in a while some guy in a Nissan has something to prove and will pass me very fast and then slow down, trying to get me to follow them or something. I dunno - I'd rather enjoy my ride then try to follow him on his ride. I've also had people cut me off (no phone or anything, they just wanted to I guess). Better to wish them a nice day. Sucks for them they aren't riding and enjoying the beautiful sky. Poor things stuck in their cages. Can't blame 'em for getting stir-crazy in there.

What makes you think he even knows you exist?

He's doing what you're doing - passing on the right, speeding, weaving through traffic.

And him hitting the brakes means nothing. You reduced throttle as much as he hit the brakes.

Common sense? Come on watch the video again. What point are you trying to make?
