Good luck getting out of this one. Off duty trooper. Think about that. If she had to drive you back and book you, you're . Bet you'll do it again.

Plead that the bikes were new and you were getting used to the throttle's performance characteristics and accidentally lifted the wheel up. Then you became accustomed to the bikes responsiveness and safely rode down the street. You apologize, say it will never happen again and take whatever you get.

you can argue many things that are wrong in this case but without a lawyer you most likely loose.

So, how many guys in the group? How many did the wheelies and how many times? How many got arrested? Tell the truth so we could help you if we can. If your answer is two and both did wheelies more than once and both got arrested then both of you are . If one of you went to jail then that person is . it, short vacation.

That sux I would hate to get a reckless driving charge for a little power wheelie. I say the same thing get a lawyer and plead down to speeding. Makes me not ever want to ride on the street again except on bikes that don't wheelie like my chopper.

you can get a lawyer and try to plead down. but your pretty much stuck.

You're reading too much into it. You are screwed. Get a good lawyer and try to plead it down. If this is your first offense you'll get probation. Prolly a year and some community service.

Oh jeez... I thought everybody knew about the rules of the game. So, guess what, there is this game called the Judicial Sytem and you just signed yourself up for it. Guess who wins at this game? Well luckily for you this can be a team effort. So guess who wins the game? The team with the best players and as usual the best players are looking for the best pay.

Get a lawyer!

As far as the thread is concerned. G/L. My ladies parentals both work for the DPS so I played that card when needed. Been pulled over on 59 S down towards El Campo and both times I got off b/c they knew her dad. Not sure it would have worked in another county:confused1 G/L!! I got some patches from them...reminds me I need to have them sewn on my leather jacket.

Not sure it's relevant either... They got tagged for reckless, doesn't appear the officer/trooper tried to tag them for evading or anything like that. She just called and got assitance from a uniformed officer/marked car.

The fact that they didn't get charged with evading shows that the police weren't concerned (for court purposes) with the fact that they didn't stop for her in her civillian car. They are pursuing the wheelie as reckless.....you'll find that a policemans word better yet a state troopers word is as good as gold in court. If you have any prayer of "getting out of this" you better have a good hot shot lawyer that can work the system.'

Otherwise be prepared for what's coming...

That pretty much was my point. All the misc with what happened doesn't have a whole lot with beating the rap I think...and kinda implies the trooper wasn't exactly out for blood.
Think it'll be hard to get out of it, and be lucky to get off lite...with a good attorney.

Get a lawyer!

In this game everyone wins except law breaker. Lawyer win lots of money, DA win for record kills, probation officer win salary pay, community win free labor. Am I missing anyone else? Court cost for Judge and clerks.

Sorry zzr, I am only stating the facts. Hope things aren't as bad as this sound, GL.
