Well. Since he was trying to nail you on evading, he may have been looking for evidence to make that charge stick. Hence, being cuffed and stuffed. Not sure what the law is for looking at the info on the camera since he was conducting an investigation. Either way. Contact a lawyer, cause I'd be willing to bet that ticket is beatable

Maybe you should get in contact with Fresnel on here. When me & a group of Ruck riders got pulled over, illegally,he got the tape from the dash cam.Had a lot of stuff that cop did wrong.

I throw myself on he ground, get in a fetal position, cry, and sob loudly. They're usually gone in about two minutes

They mainly do this to be on the safe side, until back-up officers show up.

I'm just used to this , seriously. A few tickets back a state trooper pulled me over, and pulled me out of the car because of a defective tail lamp. The state trooper told me to step behind my car with him, well I immediately put my hands on the trunk of my car and turned around. The state trooper was like " woahh buddy, what you doing? Your not under arrest" I Honestly replied to him, I'm just used to this officer.

May I STRONGLY suggest you immediately get off the forum, shut up about this any further, contact your attorney, and prepare to get rich off Harris county.

getting rich off Harris County is not going to happen so don't get your hopes up.

What may happen is you spend a lot of your time and effort in the attempt to get an officer(s) reprimanded and maybe an apology but I wouldn't count on either one.

But, if what you said went down actually did, I don't agree with how the officer went about his business.

What, yet *ANOTHER* cop hate thread on motohouston? Imagine that.

To answer the OP, it is a legitimate charge. He will have to articulate it. It's not necessarily difficult. Can he shake you down, your phone and recording equipment? Hard to say with certainty, despite the dozens of lawyers chiming in on this thread, but as to whether you have a federal civil rights violation case, I'd be rather skeptical. He may simply state he was looking pursuant to a felony fleeing investigation, was concerned if he allowed it to continue to roll that it would destroy evidence by overwriting data, so he pulled it.

If the automatic assumption here is that every cop is incompetent and stupid and a jackass, and the thing to do is run from the cops, does anyone REALLY think it's unfair that cops focus on you a little more? Can't have your cake and eat it too, even though I personally know none of you guys ever break a single law ever.

But then why is he free today? he wasn't taken to downtown after all.

I'm sure you could tell me the cop was "investigating" but at the end, he was wrong because he could not prove Renzo was evading.

Also, is it OK just to write "unsafe speed" without the actual speed he was clocked at, if he was clocked at all? Also, I'd like to know if any individual can petition to obtain the cam footage from the patrol car in a traffic situation he/she was involved in.
