Talking Lake Travis one day adventure anyone?

Anyone interested in partaking in a one day ride out to Lake Travis and back? Yes the 3 Hour ride there is going to suck but I'm hoping the scenery roads out there is worth it.

The route of main interest is Lime Creek Rd which 2222 turns into. I stumbled onto this road back many years ago and have heard that it's been repaved not too long ago. The road is short and there is little room for error. Plan is to hit Lime Creek Rd to 1431 to Marble Falls and Take 71 back.

Food: load of snacks.
Hydration: Gatorade and Camel Pak.
Staying warm: Layer the up.

Date: A day without precipitation, wind, and above 40*

Time of Departure: Around 7 AM so prime time riding is when it's warm and you get back before it's freezing again.

So who's interested

I did some riding in the Lake Travis area a few weeks ago. Very pretty this time of year. At least it was for me, since I usually ride the Houston freeways.

I prefer to do it as a 2-day ride to avoid that 3 hours of freeway to and fro.
