To an aggravated driver, all sport bikes and their riders look the same. No different for large SUV drivers that don't look before changing lanes. Or the Asian lady doing 20 under the speed limit. We stereotype because that is how we process. Negative experiences do far more to reinforce those stereotypes in a person's head than positive experiences do to dismiss them.

The OP's original statement stands true. I'd rather it not be that way, but there isn't much to be done to change it. Especially copious amounts of internet braggadocio. The only thing that helps is post counts.
It's not natural tendency to group things, its shallow minded and we all don't do it. What your describing is the lady walking down a sidewalk that noticeably holds her purse tighter when a black guy walks towards her because of a story she heard on the news. There is good and bad everything, life works in complete balance. Hot and cold, sour and sweet, good riders and bad riders, good priest and bad priest, good mods and bad mods, people that stereotype and those that don't, one cannot exist without the other.

As far as stereotyping, I don't and you shouldn't meet an Asian and say they must drive bad, an old man and say there is no way he rides a sportbike, or say a member with high post counts knows what they are talking about. There is no harm in evaluating individual by individual. Give everyone the benefit of the doubt and you will live a fuller life. You can quote me on that.

They were riding a safe, and smart and courteous ride: just over the speed limit, well spaced, following the leader who was giving clear lane changes via hand signals.

All the riders were indicating lane switches and were an example of how group riding at high speed is done professionally. I gave them my typical blessing, and a grin as they passed me. So, there it is. I wish I had a video.
Like I said, there are good and bad everything.

Now that you've espoused enough Hallmark card can we venture back into the realm of reality for a bit?

Stereotyping is a cognitive shortcut. What we should or should not do as a good and upstanding person has very little to do with the natural methods by which your brain processes data and catalogs experiences.

Another sterling example of your contributions here. Perhaps a more solid understanding of what actually happens around you on a day to day basis would be better processed by not eating so many lead paint chips.

Renzo spouted unrealistic bullshit... rainbow fairy tale desires, yes, but realistic... no
and even Renzo, though he fails to admit it stereotypes... just read his posts, listen to what he says about cagers and you see STEREOTYPING.... we do try to overcome it... and we do try to treat everyone like we would want to be treated, and we are always sucessful, right?
Kib owned, no... renzo wishing, now that happened

, changed direction in the middle of a sentence and said contradiction (which would have fit in the original sentence I had in mind) when I should have said contradict. oh well, senior moment there.

I can see where a BOY might feel that way, but a MAN knows and respects women....a MAN sees women for what they are, his equal in life... his companion and greatest support... but then again I can see where you do not get that...so maybe you applied the term to the wrong person...

Yes really... they are just as smart if not smarter than men...
their ability to get things done is as good as men...
they are usually as large and strong as men, but they can match them in any other catagory.. so yes, equal to men, if not superior...
I know no better person than my wife...so yes, I consider women equal to men...
