Help with Ninja 250 carb

I had a nearby neighbor come by the house since he always see's me working on the scoots.Told me he had a ninja 250 that had been sitting over a year and didn't run.Obviously the carb was gunked up and needed a good cleaning.

I didn't wanna say yes i'll look at it but I didn't wanna be an and say no.Dont want him calling HOA on me for anything.

So he brought it over and good lord half the dam thing has to come off to remove the 2 carbs.I got them out but im having a hard time lining up the needle when I close up the top covers.Theres gotta be a trick to it,with that dam spring but obviously I haven't got it down yet.Anyone that has one of these little 's care to help? I will take the carbs to you obviously and get wasted as long as you dont drink Bud Light.

-Alex

Oh and this goes to show fuel injection > carbs

Not sure how you're getting hung up? Did you put the spring seat in the correct way? Is the needle down and the diaphram on right?

Got pictures of what you're talking about?
