Nice ride home from work, much drier than this morning.

I hate it when that happens. You think everything is gravy until you hear the sound of thunder or raindrops hitting against the rooftop.

When you do ride in the mess, make sure you don't over inflate your tires prior. They will slide out from under you in a heartbeat.

As long as it's not raining when I leave my house, I don't care about the ride home. If I get wet, then oh well.

It was too cold. I left the bike in the garage. If it's under 50F, I don't ride. I have too far to go for the chills to ruin my day.

Oh well. It'll be hot soon enough and then my only complaint will be when it rains.

Got outta work to find I had a rear flat this am. Drove to nearest gas station to fill with air. Coasted home, went different route, got clocked going 30 in a school zone. Officer, also on bike, let me off after asking ifi had just got outta work and where I worked

Guess I'm buying new tires later.

I'm more or less a 30-30 rider. If temp gets below 30F, or if rain chance is 30% or higher, I park the bike. Still, I keep a rain suit at work, just in case.

I'm working my tolerance up on the temp scale. CG's Heat-Out undergarment helps, but sweating my off on a bike feels too much like work, and riding should be fun, not work.

I was a little afraid at first, with it being my firt time riding alone, specially on the highway.
Went to school at UHd and then rode all the way back to the Northwest side of town and luckily I made it in in one peice.
Not looking forward to the traffic this eveing though..

With you on the temp part. Ice is no bueno. I really don't care about the rain, though. I always keep a pair of rain pants on my bike, and my jacket will repel quite a bit of water. If it's raining hard, or if hard rain is predicted, I pull out the bunny suit. The only thing that will keep me from riding is ice...whether it be on the road or pelting me from above. That hurts.

Congrats. There's many more where that came from. Just practice, practice, practice and you'll actually look forward to the ride home. Seat time, get some!

Warm up? What is that? I haven't warmed up any of my vehicles in probably 2 decades. Even the carb'ed S83 can be ridden with choke ON less than a minute after starting.

Glad you picked up on the temp thing. If it weren't for the possibility of "black ice" on the road, I would ride even below freezing. Gotta have good wind protection and the right gear, of course.

Personally, I don't mind riding in the rain. It's having to clean up the mess on the bike afterwards that I don't like. You're right about ice hurts. We ran into a rain/sleet storm on the way to 3Sisters last year. I tucked in behind C14's raised electric windscreen, but I had just switched to fingerless gloves on the previous stop. Them rice grain size sleet hurt like the dickens on cold bare skin.
