Watch out for those tar snakes! In the cold weather slippery spots are magnified. I lost my rear for a second today on a back road under hard acceleration.

Nice weather today ey?

Rode to the gym this morning, had the day off from work.

I've been a member at this gym since January 2011, so it will be 2 years tomorrow. This whole time I've been a member at this gym, they have never mentioned anything to me or have said anything in regards to me parking my motorcycle. I park it up front next to the door and trash can. They don't have a garage, covered parking, or designated moto parking, and anyone with a bike would park in the same areas. People do this on the left and right sides of the building, I've seen as many as 6 bikes parked at once one evening.

I met the main manager the other day, he told me to move my bike as I was parking it. He didn't mention who he was, so I asked him, Who are you? He replied " I'm the main manager here, and the reason why I'm asking you to park the bike elsewhere is because children can burn their hands on the bikes when touching them." No big deal at all, I moved my bike without a problem and I even apologized to him. I wanted to explain to him that I park it on the right side of the building, and that my muffler, the hot part, is on the right side as well, facing the wall." He began saying " We have covered parking coming soon, and parking for motorcycles as well."

Not sure if that was a bunch of BS or not, but after coming back to my bike today it was a little wet. I would much rather have my bike parked somewhere where I can actually see it better, and where it could possibly be covered.

Anyone here frequent the gym a lot on 2 wheels, where do you park? I'm thinking of switching gyms solely because of this.

, glad you saved it and were able to talk about it later, Lol. Yes, tar snakes are no joke! At Texas World Speedway, if you have ever been, you will know a thing or two about tar snakes. They have em all over the track. When you slide out your rear that's one thing, but when you begin to slide out the front end, That's when the ice cream starts to turn into .

I use to see a few bikes parked out front at the 24 hr fitness on westheimer and dairy ashford. Can't comment on whether or not there were complaints about it.

I've parked my motorcycle couple times at that gym, but in the parking lot, but I've seen other motorcycles near the building.

I see. My previous gym was Bally's in Sugar Land, met a few guys with cruisers that would park at the very entrance, no complaints were ever made.

That's what I'll be doing from now on I guess untill I can resolve my problem. I'll have to find somewhere I'm more comfortable with parking, or a different gym it is. Gonna try and talk with one of the managers to see if he was talking out of his or not.

Found this late last night and took care of it in the morning with a plug, for now at least.

Tire zps4f7ad376

Got the tire plugged and it holds air just fine.

On my way to work late, I ran out of gas on the freeway around I-10 and Bunker Hill. I was able to put put from the far left lane onto the right shoulder. The bike died as soon as I entered the shoulder. Luckily there was an entrance ramp to my right. I got into oncoming traffic (Still on the shoulder though) and rode down the ramp to a gas station on the corner. Bad luck and a total noob mistake for running out of gas, but at least there was a gas station on the corner, and I was able to ride down an entrance ramp. That was fun, got a little workout at the same time.
