What kind of gear does your department issue you for cold weather? I wondered what mc officers did when pouring down rain.

Didn't mind the fog too much, other than kept having the wipe the visor. Still good visibility.

Like riding through a cloud.
Need to RainX the visor again... it's worn off.

I wondered about this. Any issues with discoloration?. Does fog-x work on the inside, too?

Regular wax works well to prevent fogging on inside of of helmet. Used to do that when I lived up north. Helmet ventilation these days work so well I haven't felt the need to do that. Plus it doesn't really get all that cold around here anyway.

FogX works great... just wears off if you clean it often. Which I do. No discoloration in 1yr... who knows how many applications (don't need it in the summer).
If you want to test it... FogX just 1/2 the lense and see how it works for you. I was pretty shocked. Works great on the bathroom mirror too lol.

I've been using just RainX cleaner... debating using the polish on true RainX. I think I'll try it on a clear visor... I should have a spare one. Just in case.

Left 1463 it was foggy less with than 300 feet visibility (news said 0). By the time I got to sam houston TW it was relatively clear, by 610 no fog. At least there were not a lot of cars at that time.

Again, I saw barely any fog.

We are off Cypresswood/45. My commute is 45/bw/westheimer. All clear.

On the way in I did see an enduro bike probably a 250 rider in a short sleeve shirt and i don't recall gloves on. I was cool in my mesh don't know how he did it. Also I am always amazed at people that don't use the HOV lane when possible. Granted they could have been taking the next exit but I see bikes a lot in the traffic.

45 hov sucks. One lane, buses going slow, exits take you out to side streets. I would rather play in traffic.
