It was raining so hard on parts of the beltway, that I could hardly see the cage in front of me. Only about 60% of them had their lights on.

it shouldn't.

i'm a little more concerned with the weather tonight.

cold front is pushing in right now with a slight possibility of rain in Houston by this afternoon/evening.

that said, the rain is supposed to stay on the north side of Houston because the front may not even make it down that far until tomorrow....

Yup. I almost ran up the tail end of an accord without their lights on while trying to get past a tractor/trailer that wanted to change lanes. Couldn't see him at all till I was right on him due to white car/lots of misty rain and poor ambient lighting. Flashed brights at the guy a couple times thinking maybe he's realize he didn't have his lights on. I wasn't going but 70 moving past the truck.

It was cold ride home yesterday, need to start packing the jacket liner.

I started taking my gloves off in the rain too. They get so soggy I can't stand it.

Bought some waterproofer for my boots, might try it on the gloves, too. I don't mind soggy, except they stain my hands when wet.

soak the gloves in hot water for a while, that'll get the dye out

i don't mind getting wet going home, just keep a ziplock bag in your backpack or tankbag, throw all your electronic and papers and you're good to go.

I *think* my backpack may be water resistant. But I put all my moisture sensitive stuff in a plastic shopping bag anyway.

Car is down for upgrades so I have to ride. No complaints but last night wasn't fun.

Yup. Had this thought as I was putting my iPhone in a Kroger bag *hoping* it didn't get wet. Definitely going to be in the backpack going forward.

What I drove through wasn't a little rain. But fair point.

It was also a ride home in the HOV.

It's like bowling with bumpers.

And my gloves were nice and dry this morning, no hand funk.

I did miss my windshield. I took it off this weekend to get to the coolent reservoir and did not put it back on yet.

I keep my insurance and other papers in a ziplock in my trunk. Phone and wallet go in it when rain starts.
