I rode in. Just a couple of drops of rain. Enjoyed the light show down south at 5:30 this morning.

I riding late last night when it was pouring. I wonder how people were reacting when I passed them on flooded westheimer!
My chain is probably hating me.

You're hard core dude!!!!!!!! Hit the chain with some WD-40 at least, then of course give it a proper cleaning.

I rode home after my bands show last night from downtown. At one point, through an intersection, I had water up to my pegs. Once I got a ways out of downtown it slowed to a lighter sort of drenching.

I encountered a light sprinkle on the way home from work yesterday. I actually felt really nice. I could ride all day like that.

This thread has been quiet lately. Who's still rolling on two these days?

I rode yesterday. Did not enjoy it either way. Even though morning is 75F, it was muggy and uncomfortable with mesh jacket and full face on. The humidity was lower on the way home, and as long as I was moving at freeway speeds I was okay. But I got caught in traffic on BW8 just before 59, and it got brutal.

Sad to say this, but I fear my commuting season is about over. I am down to my loosest mesh jacket and pants, and I even changed from my office shirt to a thin T-shirt before the ride home. Plus the X-11 has probably the best ventilation of any full face I've worn. If I can't ride comfortably with what I consider minimum gear, I just won't ride.

Fall is only a few months away.

Still on two, but that was the plan when I bought the bike. My workplace is sufficiently casual to let me wear t-shirts, etc., which helps in the summer months. While shorts aren't allowed, skirts are, and my knee-length skirts actually fit under my riding pants (believe it or not). That helps the ride in stay cool.

Yes, it has been slightly less enjoyable lately for the same reasons you mentioned. I've switched helmets for more ventilation.

Probably still ride in everyday though as it does save me a substantial amount of gas $.

Commuting in Houston is NEVER "over" for me. I enjoy commuting 12 months on my bike. That is one of the biggest reason why I still live in this area.

I'm good with it. Wear a tee shirt you can soak down before leaving; helps big time. Walgreens also sells a product called ForeverCool which is essentially a gel filled pad that helps cool anything it touches. I wear one beneath the back pad in my jacket.

Rode in today and yesterday as well.

This is Houston, home of humidity and heat.

Nothing has changed.

Word.

Luckily I can wear blue jeans and a t-shirt here at work.

After the 45 minute commute to work, it takes a good 20-30 minutes to cooldown + a spare under shirt then I'm good to go.

Also, If you don't already know - Wear under armor t-shirts, they help you keep cool by venting, unlike a plain cotton t-shirt.
