I have a Tour Master 1-piece suit that normally works really well, but I found that I have to be careful how I sit down. It's got a full length zipper with a rain flap that runs from the neck to the crotch, and if you're not careful to adjust it as you sit, the end at the crotch can curl up allowing water in. It sucks to get into work with your crotch the only part of you that's wet.

That said, I don't really wear that 1-piece much anymore. My normal rain gear consists of a Tour Master waterproof riding jacket (sucks when it's hot, but it's great in the cold) and some First Gear padded over pants. For boots I wear the Icon Patrol boots, which I really like and would recommend. I'm currently wearing the Cortech Hydro GT gloves, and like them pretty well. Haven't worn them in a huge downpour, but they seem to be holding up well so far.

I was looking into those boots but alot of reviews that I read say that they lose their waterproof abilities after a short while.

I haven't had a problem with them, and I've been wearing mine for close to 2 years now. I have noticed that if I don't get them tight enough, such that the top flap doesn't completely overlap the side, some water can get in that way. They're also not as tall as your "standard" riding boot (thinking like track-style Sidis) so if your rain pants ride up at all water can get in through the top.

The fog was horrible. I hit what I assume was a small dead animal on the highway, but never saw it!

Yes it did. But when you get close to Katy and you can't see 20 ft in front of you because the fog is so thick....makes your pucker a bit. It will definately be a nice ride home on the back roads

Lost the rain gamble this morning. PSA for the day: don't stick leather gloves in a microwave to try to dry them out. They shrink. A lot.
