ditto for 45 North this morning. What's the term for splitting on the HOV? There's just one lane

I believe that's called riding the shoulder.

This whole week has been a pretty nice ride in. Afternoons have been warm, but I suppose it's nothing near what temps were last year at this time.

I agree.

Be careful riding the shoulder on 610 by the galleria. There's this female sheriff in a truck that I always bump into lol

Beautiful ride in this morning....

Hopefully, I will leave work before the afternoon/evening rain comes in.

Beautiful morning. Yesterday, too. A little bit of sprinkling around lunchtime, but not bad.

Seemed like there were way too many larger trucks out today, slowing everyone down.

Well, that was a fun ride home. 290 HOV lane from 610 to past Fairbanks was a driving rain all the way. I poured almost a half a cup of water out of each boot when I got home! Hindsight, maybe I should have stopped and put on at least the rain pants! lol

Rode in to work. Only two miles, but I live off of a major intersection, so it was a little sketchy today. Had two cagers run two separate red lights in front of me.

Ha! Yea, it sucked. I stopped at Taco C for an hour and left at 6:30 after the initial downpour let up.

Every single light on the west side of the Beltway was out, flashing red, and piling up cars. I lane split about 70% of the way home. Still took me 45 minutes. I probably would have been stuck for a solid 2 hours or more otherwise.

Rode in this morning. Loving the cool mornings.

JustJoe: that's why I always wait a sec before starting up at an intersection.

Rode in this morning all gear'd up, boots and all... then realized on the way in that I forgot to throw in my regular/dress shoes into the backpack!

Short sleeves, mesh jacket without liner, naked bike, 67 degrees at 70mph is chilly, but I commute no matter the temp.

Yep, the liner would've been good this morning. But the afternoon will be so worth it.
