these, by any chance?
http://www.cyclegear.com/CycleGear/S.../39827_59409_2

I bought these last year and my complaints are exactly what's listed under "cons" on the review summary. WAY too smooth with no grip. I put some soft rubber dirt bike grips on and haven't had any more issues with them, but they are a bit too bulky and fit a little odd. Either way, they're warmer than my other glove/liner combos and work well enough coupled with grip warmers.

Yep, those are the same exact ones I have with the same complaints. I bought the gloves cheaper so it was a bargain for me.

Yeah, I think I got them for something like $20 last year. I figured for the price I might as well try them. I now wish I'd spent more on better gloves, but they're working well enough for now.

The best gloves in the world won't warm your fingers if you don't keep your core warm.

Yeah, the 30% yesterday was more like 90%. Luckily it wasn't coming down too hard so I didn't really get wet on the way home. I saw 37* displayed from my intake air temp the whole ride to work this AM.

I don't know why this morning felt colder than yesterday. The addition of overpants (in lieu of long johns) helps a lot, but once I got off the bike and took off my riding gear I thought I was going to freeze.

I know some people think I'm crazy, but I'm kind of enjoying finding that "best" combination of gear that will keep me comfortable riding for hours in the upper 20's. Not that I'll get to really put it to much use here in Houston, but I wouldn't hesitate to jump on the bike and ride to see my family up in Oklahoma right now either.

Joe Rocket and Tourmaster have some affordable suits that would best fitting and then Aerostitch, of course. I've been wanting to get one when one pops up for cheap.

Heated jacket liner... there is no substitute. Wore it today and wondered why I hadn't bought it sooner.

Not to bad. Made a home made neck warmer. Lol. Cut the top of a beanie. It worked.

I'm turning in a plea of "temporary insanity". I decided to last night when the weather man said it would be near freezing this morning. I was kind of disappointed when it was only 41 this morning. As far as winter gear. FLEECE is the way to go for a base layer. Of course I work in and out of this weather. So the fleece works all day. And the Bell Star with breath guards in over fleece hat and bacalava makes an excellent winter helmet. My Shoei always made my eyes water. No such issue with the Star. For an outer layer as long as it's windproof it works. Used rain gators made for motorcycling to cover those holes in my air SIDI's and wore SIDI gauntlet gloves. ALL I felt was that warm fuzzy feeling you get from twisting on the throttle and carving thru traffic for the whole 30 miles. And at 6ish in the morning it's still moving very well. hehe!
