Couldn't bring myself to ride this morning, caught a ride in with a buddy who also works downtown. Passed at least one bmw touring bike on the way in though, made me feel like a for being in a cage...

The BMW was probably more comfortable than the cage you were in

I saw someone on eldridge who loaded thier sportbike into a hitch mount on their pickup. Guess they couldn't handle going in without their bike.

I drove. No riding in cold rain.

I rode. Didn't get the velcro closure of my rain suit completely secured. Ended up with cold, wet . Gotta make sure not to repeat that on the ride home.

The cold I don't mind so much; the wet I do.

Well....I can add a flat tire to the list of things that made riding today fun. I walked out to my bike after work and noticed my rear tire looked low. Set my stuff down and saw a noted taped to my gauges. Old guy from my building that I've talked to while smoking had seen it, too, and left a note in case I missed it. I pulled the nail (it really looked more like the shank of a Dremel bit), plugged the hole, took the wheel off and walked across the street to the fire station for air. Got the wheel back on in time to ride home in the dark and rain. I bought the road hazard protection on the tire and will be taking it to Cycle Gear this week for a new one. After today I will never own a bike without a center stand. I think I just might have to find a way to permanently wire in an air compressor, too.

He is always prepared. The last hill country trip we went on, he had navigation, radar detecter, power connectors that would accommodate everything including an air compressor and even had room for a tool kit and plug kit.

His story doesn't surprise me at all. He finds some crazy enjoyment in it.

Thanks. I just figured I'd try to fix it myself before I bugged anyone else.

Finally get to ride in, after a whole week's worth of wicked wet weather. Zero traffic! 25min instead of the usual 35-40min. The cold air is refreshing.

Nice start to the Thanksgiving weekend.

I skipped... cause it was still cold this morning.

I'll regret it come friday when I haven't managed to get away for a ride yet.

took 10 minutes for my fingers to unthaw, traffic was light, even had someone move over from the fast lane to let me by ( i know hard to believe I passed someone).
