Salute to friendly Constable on Green Indian

All,

Just back from riding Ft. Bend County, on the way outbound at Crabb River Road and FM 2759 I stopped at the left turn with a local Constable. He was riding a gorgeous dark green Indian. We sat at the left light trying for a signal, and we chatted a bit after he waved me beside him trying to get the light.

He said: you are fairly new and I said: yup since last March. He said: take it slow and you'll be fine...good advice and off we went. Anyway, he was a great guy, and I enjoyed the encounter and riding behind him a bit.

Wow, I am still trying to find the right roads to loop around FM 2758 to YU road to 752 and such. Two tries, two fails. I guess I need to bring a GPS with me next time, the roads are poorly marked or I am just a noob. I saw a lot of bikes out today, Houston rocks with this beautiful January weather.

Fatigued hands remain my biggest limit on long rides. Next bike has to be more up right I guess. I wonder if the Triumph STR or Ducati 796 has a more comfortable position than my Kawa?

Lunch then off again....

cheers,
Lucydad
