Tojo92 and Tankmonkey riding around Monterey California

While out at the Moto GP races this past year, Tankmonkey and I were able to spend a day riding the roads around Monterey.

Desmorider drove a van out with bikes for us to ride. I rode his Street Triple R and Tankmonkey was on his own Tuono. Aaron was on his Duke 990 and led the rides. He had a camera on his bike and video recorded much of our ride included a freaking amazing ride over Nacimiento Ferguson (not in the video here, but sure to follow, so subscribe to Aaron to see it eventually) south of Montery from inland to PCH and back up to Montery. The video doesn't have any wild crashes or anything, but should give an idea of the roads Aaron led us on at a great pace. In was directly behind him for the ride...Tankmonkey was ahem...behind us .

Freaking heaven on a bike. I hope we can ride those routes again this year.

I still had fun, though.

Tankmonkey! Yeah, I felt bad for that poor . It was funny rolling up to the scene to see a guy in a power ranger suit with no bike.

Glad you guys are enjoying the vids. There are a few more up on my channel now, including some old footage of me putting myself over the bars of my DRZ in a poorly executed stoppie.

I figured I would join motohouston so I can give Tojo92 as much grief as possible until I see him at Laguna this year. Hopefully, you'll be able to make it as well, Tankmonkey. I had a blast riding with you guys.

Yeah, after loading all the bikes (3 were mine + TM's Tuono), driving all the way out there (actually, driving was shared with another friend), having my DB4 fail on the first ride, then getting in one good half-day of riding on PCH, my back went out and I had to just drink beer and listen to stories about the great rides.

No good deeds go unpunished, but hey......good beer, good BS, MotoGP races........beats a stick in the eye. BTW, watch out for the chiropractors in Monterey.......i.e., keep your towel on tight.

Just sayin'.....

PS: Who is driving out with the bikes this year? It's some one else's turn.

I'm gonna be busy hauling the Atom out there. Ahem.

Yo, Aaron: Nice video/editing/musical accompaniment. I was bench racing the hotel's hot tub that day, or in T3 at LS.

This year.....I'll be the in back you're not waiting on. Or right on your tail in the Atom. In Go Pro HD.

Yes, it was fun. The truth is...the only reason I kept up is I was scared if I lost sight of him, I wouldn't know which way the turn was going! You have a little more sense than I do (in general).

Aaron asked me at one point if I wanted to lead...I passed.

Aaron, post up the others when you get time. I like the editing set up and the music.

I would LOVE to go for a ride in the Atom if you bring it out. Those things are incredible! I do think, though, that you would be bored out of your mind following me in the atom.

I don't think you were in any danger of losing sight of me. You also forget that I don't know those roads, either. Still, roads like that are a blast, even at a safe and sane pace. Looking forward to hitting them (and some new ones) this year.
