How to get home when your battery or charging system craps out

Ok most of us have been stranded a time or 2 because of a dead battery caused by something in the charging system failing. It's always best to have a small tool kit in your bike. And pretty much all bikes come with one.

So let's say you are carving up your favorite roads with wind blowing by your helmet and all of a sudden your bike starts to run like and then just dies as you come up to a stop on the side of the road. I'm sure if this happens you will be cussing like a sailor and saying WTF. After all the cussing is over with call a buddy with a similar bike and have them ride to where you are at. Once that buddy gets there tell him you are going to steal his battery and leave him there. no seriously. Just swap batteries with him/her. Once the batteries have been swapped push start the buddies bike that has a good charging system and get the bike running. Buddies bike will charge your dead battery on the way home and buddies good battery will get your no charging bike back to the house or dealer/shop/whereverthehellyouwanttotakeit. Lol.

Oh wow I think wrote waaay to much and I know there are errors in there. Eh oh well. Hope this helps anybody that gets stranded and can't get a truck. And before you say it won't work. I've done it three times already

Also, remember to always carry one rectifier in your bike/ backpack, so you switch it in case it goes bad

When my battery crapped out, there was no "warning" signs....

Started right up w/o hesitation, rode it about 1-2 miles to gas station, filled her up, and click click click....

Pushed it home in full gear, summer time. I let a friend borrow my ramp, and he was out of town...

If you have hids you will notice pretty quick that your bike is dying. They will start flickering on and off then go out then bike dies lol
