Vlogging/Camera help?

I'm looking for a camera, that secures to a helmet, and HAS AN INPUT FOR SOUND... Like, to plug in a mic. Does anyone know of such a thing?

Hmm. Slightly expensive... But if I can't find anything else, I suppose I'll have to go with that. Thanks.

The only one I could find that has a sound input is like, $400... Unless I missed something?

EDIT: It's the Contour+, $500.

I'm sorry man, I know it's been forever. I just didn't want to post non-relative content, and I didn't have the setup I wanted for vlogging yet. , I didn't even know anyone on MH watched my stuff...

But I've been meaning to make an update video for a while now. It should be up tomorrow. And thanks for the interest

You could do what I did:

Get jealous the new HD Hero 2 has an external mic jack and open up your original HD Hero and solder some wires to the mic input to run to an external 3.5mm microphone jack.

Save some money and get to play with a soldering iron.

Haha, I considered that last night, but I don't know how you could
Do it without wires hanging hanging out of the housing. That, and I'd be way at myself if I broke something.

Well if you are careful you can wire the microphone connectors to the the TV out jack to turn it into a mic in jack.

The Replay XD 1080 also has an external mic option and imo is much better if you're going to filming from a helmet mount.
