On Christmas Day, I had a flat tire in Sugarland and a friend came to help me. While I was calling around other friends for a spare, we both saw an actual hit and run on Highway 6 and Boone Street. A maroon Grand Prix just rear ended a white RDX that was making a right turn on Boone. Both drivers drove up and the maroon Grand Prix took off with his headlights now turned off. Ten minutes later, we see the maroon Grand Prix again hiding behind a store and he drove off and away. The infuriating part about it, being Christmas Day notwitholding, is that the white RDX had his wife and baby kid in the car. The maroon Grand Prix didn't give a about them or anyone but themself.

up like what happened to them and what happened to you has made me paranoid to ride on the streets - car or bike. This is not a time to be nice because as others have said, people like this don't learn from nice. If I were you, I would take everyone to court - kid, mom, and car owner.

When I was a 1L one of our profs told us "the best client you'll ever have is the guy who says, 'it's not about the money, it's the principle of the whole thing.' Principle is really, really expensive."

Truer words...

ok

so i got the call... meeting up with the family friend on thursday he is paying me blue book value on the bike.

will be a cashiers check and i will sign an agreement to release any charges against the boy.

considering my x rays came out all good and i will be returning to work on thursday as well i think this is the fastest best resolution to the situation.

keeping my fingers crossed.

I would take cash...

Or go with them and have the bank cash that check for you while they are with you...

I would not take chances.
