gosh man... osiris.. heart don't teach people bro.. sometimes they really need to be thought a lesson about the real world.
think about it. what if it would have been a pregnant woman, or a child, thank you're ok, and bless you for that big heart bro!
if it was me, I'd press charges; F**** that !

My neighboor's niece.. had to fly in from AZ to bury her husband. Some 17 year old girl hit him in a SUV, run the red light, and total his S14 (240sx nissan)
killed him, no insurance, didn't go to jail.
My neighboor's niece, poor, couldn't afford a lawyer, like 3 months later, she received a letter from the 17 year old asking to "excuse her" for the accident..
can't put myself in that position, I have two boys as well.. that's why I have life insurance.

lucar, i agree in fact his insurace that he gave the cop was for a car that he totaled 3 days before this.

i was following a truck and went to pass in the passing lane and he pulpatled out from a stop sign the wason the two lane @ Spring Cypress and the police report clearly states that he failed to yeild at the stop (not to mention driveing with out valid liability incurace).

he mom was to afraid to call me so her family freind called me and i beleive that he is the owner of the camry that hit me so they are scrambling to get it figured out, i have little patiences for this and an attourney.

i will give them until the end of today before i press charges.

press charges? did he get a ticket from any municipality? (cop)

screw that i would get an attorney asap and go after them. your bike is screwed, the longer you wait the more likely they are going to try to screw you so..........

speaking from experience someone hit me with no insurance who was ticketed and tried to call my ins co and file a claim saying it was my fault.

I really hate hearing about this. Even if he is responsible, he won't HAVE to pay. The worst they will do is take away his license. Since he was already driving w/o insurance, I doubt the lack of DL will change his attitude.

Yea well, you could hire a whole team of lawyers but suing a turnip will get you no blood. If the family can't afford liability insurance they probably don't have to sue for

they have commited to calling me before the end of today and he was sighted at the accident for failure to yield and no incurace tickets, cop clearly stated he was at fault and i have called my attuorney already,

i he does not call me today he told me to file a report, and with the amount of damages encurred it would be over 7k with medical and work loss.

this would be considered a Felony and he will be arrested.

it's not about money, it's about human life. a lesson here has to be taught, so all his H.S. friends would hear of it, and do as to not fall in the same situation

Uh, suing is about money. Who's gonna pay the lawyer fees? If the kid's not in jail now it's too late. You can't be jailed for a civil suit

yes, all this is correct, but at a court because of the accident (not property damage with no insurance which will be dealt separately) the police report doesn't mean * to the insurance lawyers, been there. I'm a truck driver, been doing it for 10 years bro.
call your lawyer tomorrow if they don't come with a solution first thing in the morning.. also consider your down time, no work, bills, etc.
Sounds pretty much like his parents can't educate him, I think it should be up to you to do it now.
