It's gotta be KPH.
The stripes on the road are going by way to slow for it to be MPH. Not to mention all the other stuff the cars, signs.
If you want to see someone really going 187 (between 8 and 9 minutes in) on the roadway check out this video.
It's already been posted, but what the it's a good one.

Fly With Ian Hutchinson Around Isle Of Man.

I believe he covers 37miles +- in 17:18:58 On a 2 lane road with no room for runoff.

I agree with Skelator, 17 minutes is possible. 10 minutes, not likely. You'd have to be going 4 miles a minute. Which is 240mph average.

(Distance) divided by (minutes it takes) =miles you have to average per minute
(Miles you average per minute) times (60 minutes) = speed in mph

Heres my figures on an R6 with top speed of 168mph and considering I might slow down to 150mph in the turns. So average 150mph

150mph / 60 minutes equals 2.5 miles per minute

40 miles divided by 2.5 miles per minute = 16minutes

Comes to 1 mile in 24 seconds.

Not saying I would or have done this...just sayin...

I know I'm NOT the fastest rider, but...on my stock 2009 zx10r (18min)
"no problem"

40miles / 18min. x 60 = 133.33 miles per hour average.

traffic can play havoc too...
I heard the 10min time, IMO thats BS!,

15 would be a WOW...

40/15x60= 159.9 mph average.

yea
40/10x60=240 NOfrkn way

I think the long route is also 40 miles, according to my trip reading. I've done it in 17

Has BW8 been built fully all the way around, or are there still parts under construction? The real challenge would be completing 1 full lap, w/ no gas stops... or jail time.

If you gear a bike low enough, anyone can have a speedo read whatever they want to at 90 or so mph. They would have to video a gps on the bike for me to believe that. Those LIE guys have done some crooked stuff in the past and I wouldnt be trusting of anything he posts.
