Where and how much for a pocket bike?

Sup Fam? I am going to purchase a 50cc pocket bike for my 8 year old son (sport bike type that runs on gas to get him ready ) and was wondering where and how much should I pay for one? I just left off of Harwin and found one for $300. Any suggestions? They also had the Gixxer 110cc for $399 but that was too much and too powerful. I want to keep it @ 50cc.

Whatever you get him please get a helmet to go with it. I can't recall how many kids I saw last year after christmas that got silly pocket bikes and had no helmet on.

A 110cc Gixxer huh? What country was it built in? If it was china run don't walk away. They are JUNK and won't last more than 3 or 4 rides.

I think that it is better that you get a 110cc because these are being in bad quality you don't need to over revved it or over worked it. You can install a throttle control to regulate it from wide open therefor, it will last longer too. Don't forget to get a 4 cycle engine if not then you will have to mix oil and gas.

lots of em

personally, from experiece with raising boys, buy him a cheapy, all the while you work with him on proper usage and also proper maintanance and it will go far as a teaching / training tool. a few months and few lessons learned, then go with him for a new/ costlier one, a step up from training pants to real cotton briefs if you will.
