Well if you want the HD Hero 2 and don't mind waiting def hit up Whoopie's cycles!!!

However, I couldn't wait and ended up grabbing GoPro HD motorsports edition 1080 along with the LCD BacPac thanks to Brandon at cycle gear.
Can't wait to try it out!!!

Just an FYI

From the information I've gathered, r4 is the recommended recording mode if you will be mounting this on your bike. The 1080 mode (r5) makes camera shake and vibration more visible.

I have mine mounted with the suction cup on the lower front part of my fairings and it seems to work great. I used to have it mounted to the top of my helmet, but the viewing angle just doesn't look good nor does the weight and drag of it.

Also don't forget to update the firmware with the latest one on the GoPro website. For all of you who have the Hero2 you'll notice that setting the default camera mode doesn't get saved when you turn the unit off like it's suppose to - this was fixed with a firmware update.

The regular Gopro HD is great, don't get me wrong, video quality is top notch, but when using it on my helmet it would make it so uncomfortable due to the drag twisting the helmet.

Thanks all for info.

Chasee. Cycle gear has on sale for 199. Or if you want the new one (hero2) call up alanat Whoopie's if you don't mine waiting a couple weeks for it.
2 Wheel Toyz has one left they'll let go for 199. But that's about it.

Just to let you know, BestBuy also carries the Hero 2 and alot of the accessories and replacement parts. I have the Hero HD and picked up the backpack LCD along with a tripod mount at BestBuy for same prices that are listed on Hero website. Just about any store that you can find the original Hero HD at will be selling them for $199 until inventory is gone.
