http://austin.craigslist.org/mcy/3190180077.html this is the bike
hes throwing in a set of tires and will help me get it running. looks like a badass bike, but i do have a problem with stuff like this. i see it and i.visualize how i.want it.to look. i dont much think about rotten cables or rats living in the airbox or etc. this bike supposedly only needs a stator.
if i can get the stator fixed, lower bars on, with new grips and everything in useable shape ill be very happy and.can.continue from there. it.needs.a.round headlight.and. the seat fixed up.a.bit. i hate rectangular lights on naked.bikes

With this one i want to get it running as quickly as i can. once it is good to ride i will begin work. Round lower bars, grips, headlight, recover seat, repaint, etc. each job one at a time. i think this would look like a great little muscle bike.
im not going to do pod filters this time. i dont want to mess with carb tuning at all.
i dont have time for that.

im also holding onto my fancy led bar end blinkers, brake/turn signal light, and the supercool acewell gauge.

the owner of the vt sedms like a cool guy. i really wasnt expecging to get a cruiser, i had actually fallen in love with shadow's sportier sister, ascot.
i think the wheels on both bikes are awesome, by the way. very modern design from way back in 84.
