Btw, this seems a good thread to ask a question I always had....

I've personally never had to store any of my bikes cause I've been riding every day with any kind of weather for many years, I only drew the line at snow sometimes (although with Joshua42007's video I'm starting to get ideas lol)

A buddy of mine back in Europe however was a summer rider and he always stored his bike during winter, but he did the opposite of what was suggested in this thread;

every year he FLUSHED everything: I'm talking oil, gas even the coolant(???). Then he washed it, put it on stands and covered it for a few months.

So, out of curiosity, was he a complete idiot or was there some actual mechanical knowledge involved?
