I have always thought they were nuts the way they will cut in front of cars. They act like you WILL stop for sure. I'm surprised more don't make the news.

You would think...

But I heard someone say on here itls pretty dangerous..

And from first hand account, I've seen some cops on motorcycle funeral escort, do some pretty unnecessary things on the road...

When I first started, I posted up a thread about it and even posted video... had to hit brakes to keep from coming too close to where he landed...

Scary .

i've seen a few speed up past the funeral procession, cut folks off at an entrance ramp half a mile away and just hit their brakes to block incoming traffic. very confusing on interstate highways.

According to one of my friends at the PD, they speculate that he might have been under the influence of alcohol.

I'm not sure how sure fire evidence this is, but this is what he spoke of, because he knows the officer. But said the PD will cover it up as some other cause.

Good luck to the injured officer.

Btw, if you FTP on a regular basis, do you still FTP bike cops?

Prayers for the officer. Driving my cage last Friday at noon outbound on 59 to Sugar Land I saw a cop on a bike following a car. He was no more than 3-5 back from the car, fairly centered, doing at least 75, far left lane, cagers on all sides. To me, the lane positioning and bumper sucking was poor judgement. But, I am just a citizen.

Not at all. I was in a funeral procession very recently and had multiple accounts of people cutting in and out of our line. I'm surprised there were that many inconsiderate and thoughtless people. Then again this is houston

Sorry he was hurt. But bike cops are even worse that the regular ones. They ride like A-Holes and are some of the worse on a bike. FTP to them all. I added the ATGATT cus I really dont understand why they wear stretchy pants and a half lid, and dont forget gloves and feel safe and provide a good role model. Im glad this guy was one of the lucky ones and hopefully survives and learns a lesson from this.

nope.

When I was in 3rd grade a good friend and classmate lost his dad who was a MC cop. I remember his funeral clearly as it was the first one I had ever been too.

Anyway he was escorting a funeral and a pickup truck ran through an intersection he was blocking and killed him. Lights on and everything.
