What bike is best in your opinion?

Just trying to get some ideas. I'm wanting to save up for a new moto. I'm liking the looks of the italian made bikes. But i just want a clean, strong running bike. Preferably a 1000.

For hwy commuting the S1000RR is very comfortable, for the looks, you cant go wrong with Italian design.

My Bike is the best bike. Why you ask? Because its mine and its paid for. And I get to ride it.

To many variables....

Price?

Commute or tour?

New/Used?

Ride or just put around?

Etc...etc....

I've had a cbr 1000, zx-9, rode a zx-12 and now own a zx-636 and by far I have to say the 636 is the most fun bike I have ever ridden. 1) they're cheap 2) they are super light 3) they have a lot of power. I think this is one of the best bikes for the street but to answer your question on a 1000, I've always loved the zx-10.

I think you need to define "best". Not for us but for yourself.
You need to think about what kind of riding you are actually gonna do and then look at the choices of that type of bike.
All of the major mfr's bikes are pretty damned good these days so, issues like reliability and quality are not a big concern.
Find one that suits your style and pocketbook and BOOM the choice is made.

There is no way for a group of strangers to decide which bike is best for you.

the bike in your avatar looks like it will do what you say you want a bike to do...
you might want to reconsider riding "hard" on the streets...
if you really want to ride hard on the streets, I suggest a huffy.

The F4i is a comfortable sport bike and highway cruiser.
Paid off (I assume). Clean, strong running (also assumed). Just for highway? I don't see a problem.
