I had money. Just not on me. Or in my bank. Soooo I had to go get my money from someone. Then I was able to get fuel. And it took $12.40 to fill it with 91. Regardless I appreciate the info and now I know more about my bike. And if I am broke I need to lower my suspension.

does your bike require 91 octane? if not, you could have gotten a little more by buying 87 and you'd get a tad more power so maybe an extra .5 miles per gallon and at 4 gallons total that would be an extra 2 miles

Nope. 86 is the minimum octane rating for our bikes (per owner's manual), so 87 is more than enough.

Dude - if you're EVER that broke again - just PM me. I hate the idea of someone being stranded over a couple gallons of gas...

On the upside - your bike only weighs about 10lbs....

I doubt this will be a problem again. Its a very unique and uncommon circumstance for me to be this broke. I had a large settlement from my truck being stolen. The truck was still in my ex-wife's name, insurance was in mine. They put both out names on the check and my bank wouldnt accept it because she was not on my account. (thanks BoA) Her bank took the check but put a 7 day hold on it. Meanwhile I took my dog to the vet, and with meds and the ear infection he has it kinda kicked me in the . But he is doing fine now.

Since I have only the Vapor cluster, I have to watch my mileage(+/- 200) to know when to fill up. It's worked perfectly for the past two years now.

I can go 26-30mile after the fuel light turns on on my 1200 firebolt, and 30-35 on the 1125R...I learned the hard way, so definitely take a small tank with you or have a friend nearby with one
