New ATV Owner, Montgomery.

I have lived in Montgomery for a few years now. I have a young family, so I'm getting back into an old hobby. I grew up riding 3-wheelers and dirtbikes. Now its time to pass some of that on to my little boys. I am joining this site to learn the kid-friendly ATV riding spots around North Houston. We all have 2wd quads, and are very interested in trails, jumps, sand, and speed. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

I'll get some pics up when I get home. I'm stuck at work for a couple more weeks. Here is the only toy pics I have with me.

I take that back. I have a picture of the TRX, but it is from the for sale add. I won't pick it up until I get back home.

3 Palms looks like a good place. I think I saw some trails right across I-45 from there too. A lot of times I'll see jeeps parked down there on the river. I need to drive down there and check it out.

yeah there's trails down there, but it's nothing but sand on the east side of 45 next to the san jac river. i'm not sure how far they go back and if you can cross the river to get out of the sand but I am pretty sure it's private property

Welcome man, Im up in that area with my RZR.........take em over to Splendora (Creek Side) over off 59...they have a big free ride track, a sandpit style area (big open area with piles of sand), and all the trails are do-able with sport quads (they have ways around almost all the mud)

That sounds good to me. Have you been to General Sams? I'm gonna try it out too.

Cool man. Let me know what you think of the place. I'll have my 9 yr old with me on his DS 90X. He is a pretty good rider, but not much ground clearance.

Its a good place. We were out there about 3 weeks ago and it wasnt too bad, not a lot of mud just water. Looked to be some easy ways around most everything, but they didnt have the big play area that Creek Side has. But other then that its not bad
