Helmet shopping

I'm looking for a helmet that'll look sweet with my lime green Kawasaki. Safety, comfort, and value are important to me. Looking for something with lots of bang for the buck. Any suggestions out there?

Your helmet will save your life. Don't worry so much about aesthetics as finding a helmet that fits WELL (snug - very snug), and is certified. There are several brands that are sufficient, but don't try to save money on the helmet.

Go to stores and try on different helmet brands. Get fitted for the correct size and go from there.

I gave up trying to match up with bikes since i go through so many bikes. I now have started going with the most off the wall helmet that looks cool and feels good. ICON has been my helmet for the past 2 years.

Arai hands down if you can afford it, but now their are comparable brands out their. You should come by the shop and we can size you and find what's best for you.

Everyone can sit and make suggestions on helmets for you. The thing is going and trying them on and see what fits your melon best. I tried Shoei, AGV, Arai, and many other models. I found that the Shark helmet fit my melon the best. Great snug fit and wsa comfortable. Others were too tight, rubbed the forehead, did not feel right and so on. So I say, get out and go try some on. Talk to some of our sponsors as well. Patrick hooked me up with a sweet deal on a Monster helmet, the 2 Wheel Toyz hooked me up with the SHARK..... Just my .2

What color Helmet are you looking for any prefrence... Also like everyone is saying not ever brand is shaped the same, you will need to try them on to see what brand fits you the best... That will help narrow down you selection.. Why look at shoei's or arai if they don't fit

Once you have decided on the lid you want. Talk to the guys at P1 Racing / South Central Racing Center. They will give you a great deal.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. I know everything fits different and I'll have to try them on. I wouldn't sacrifice quality or safety for aesthetics. I have a helmet but it's very generic since it was just a starter helmet for me, it's also modular, which is convenient, but I know if I ever decide to hit the track that won't work. I was really just wondering if anyone had any suggestion of helmets that would go well with the Kawasaki green. Then I could try them on from there.

I like the ones people have suggested so far. The arai monster helmet would be my favorite, but $800 is a bit much for me at this point.
