Fatality Accident in Denton County

Moto was stolen early this month.

Discuss.

Quote:
Clay Bench, 24, suffered blunt force trauma to his stomach and abdomen, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s report.

Denton Police Traffic Sgt. Jim Brett said Thursday that a pickup truck was westbound on Pockrus Paige Road and turning left onto Fox Sedge Lane at 4:22 p.m. Bench attempted to pass the pickup on the left, the sergeant said, and struck the driver’s rear door on the truck. Bench was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries, Brett said.

No citations were issued.

“We have learned that the motorcycle was reported stolen in Arlington in early November, Brett said."

Wait...he tried to pass on the left...and hit the rear door on driver's side? How does that even happen?

If he did in fact steal that bike himself, I have little remorse.
Ok, maybe none.

Or... he could have bought it on CL from the thief, and bought a story about the lack if a title?

My thoughts exactly - IF he stole it, then it's a shame he wasted his life that way, but if he's innocent of it being stolen, then I feel for him.

I mostly feel sadness for his family. He was somebody's son and no matter how horrible of a person he may have been his mother loved him.

Maybe, or she could have hated him, abandoned him, abused him, rejected him, or been estranged.

Regardless - she loved him. You can love your children, but hate their actions.

And even if he had no mother, somebody loved him. Somebody loves everybody. I'm willing to bet somebody even loves YOU, Bevo.

How do you buy a bike without a title? I don't think so. Even rebuilds have to go get titled in order to get licensed and/or properly bought and sold.

Whether he stole it or was just riding a stolen bike, it's his responsibility to know the origin and insure it's a clean vehicle, or else he is part of the problem.
