The priceless thing was mostly for jest. But it is about perspective. If they are already riding away on my bike then I can't shoot them. If they have an Ak in my face and are ready to take my bike then my life is in danger and I can defend it. The priceless joke was said lightly, but I don't take the matter lightly. I've seen way too much and been through way more violence then some have seen simply on tv or in a movie. And I don't want to take a life unless mine is in jeopardy. It's sad but I've lost real life friends in the mist of someone jacking us. Often times things escalate so quickly. It's naive to think that everyone will stop as soon as they get your property. But don't get me wrong, I don't advocate going out there with the Charles Bronson mentality also. But real life often contradicts how we would have thought things would happen or how we would respond. All in all I agree with Patrick, no life is worth a bike.

I wish more people would LEGALLY carry .

I'd like to see them go through an approved weapons handling course, one that teaches real world tactics and handling, instead of the joke of a CHL class we currently have.
If you choose to carry, get some training with your weapon, practice regulary, and always be aware of your surroundings.
Take care out there!
I pack a G27 .40 cal with me daily, and have been for some time now.
The CHL classes are a joke, and anybody with general common sense should be able to pretty much breeze right through it.
I'm not a the real religious person in the typical sense, but I do believe what goes around comes around (karma). Those cats will get whats coming to them whether or not I administer anything. So if it was me in that situation, and knowing all they wanted was a bike? pssh, take it
They can head back to their bad guy headquarters with there other jacked goods and the LoJack will lead the ol'curly tails right to them

Mad was a CHL instructor, he isn't anymore.. But he is pretty up to date on the law.
If you kill one of these guys, and do not have your CHL, 99% chance, your going to jail and getting some charges. Whitenesses and being 100% legit will likely make things look better, but I wouldn't expect any praise from the police. Now if one of them is laying dead on the concrete still holding a loaded AK, you will have a better shot, but IMO, its not worth it over a bike.
LoJack is cheaper than bail, attorneys, the courts and what ever else. Not to mention, if they run off with your baby, there likely to take it back to their stash where other peoples bikes are at. So your helping out others with that move. Let them take the bait
Oh, and always shot to kill, don't let them testify
