What are you looking to gain by porting the heads? Hopefully the gains are worth the time, labor, and cost involved.

Bought the R6 from a friend he was like it's junk compared to his R1, I just saw porting as way to make it run better but didn't the cost of porting not looking to drop that kind of $ on it

2 very different bikes. 600 vs 1000.FWIW your bike is far from junk. I've ridden a few of thee older r6 models and they great all around bike. They are comfy, quick, and reliable. Yes, it isn't a 150hp+ bike. SO WHAT?! What's funny is that your buddy would probably get smoked by a competent rider at most rack...even TWS (Texas World Speedway) which is a high speed track. Just ride the bike and enjoy it. what other people say.

Porting alone isn't gonna do anything. Cams are needed to get the most out of it. You're looking at about 2000.00
