Thinking about a Sport bike.

I am thinking about a getting a sport bike. I can get a pretty decent deal on a 2008 GSX650F. I know its a Sport Touring bike but can I get some opinions on this bike from you guys? And please if you want to say the bike sucks back it up with some sort of argument besides "It sucks cause mine is better".

Thanks.

Its not my first bike. But I think you guys are missing what I am asking. I dont know much about the bike itself. Is this a good bike? Has anyone heard bad things about this model? that kind of stuff. I may take it to a track I am not sure right now.

And if you are looking to sell me a bike Price and Pics mean a lot. Just keep in mind I am not trying to drop lots of cash on a bike that may take a few dives at the track. Under 4k.

My R1 is an awesome bike, I know it's not the best out there, even with Honda and BMW super sports out there, I like the sound of my rocket, besides the looks, I'd suggest you go try them all out, hear them all, forget performance, focus in reliability, cost, and comfort.
Now all these can be found even in some ducatis, gsxrs.. and so on.. it's up to you, looks are importatnt, brakes, all the works, wish you luck in your witch hunt!

This is the wiki.

The Suzuki GSX650F is a sport touring motorcycle made by Suzuki. It is essentially an updated Bandit, filling the void of the retired Katana.

The 656 cc liquid-cooled engine has just over 80 hp (60 kW) and a 12,500 rpm redline. The Transmission is 6-speed with a chain drive.

honestly there are very few "bad" bikes out there.

our little SFV650 is a very fun bike, and i prefer the power delivery of a V-twin to I4

look into SFV's they replaced the SV

get what you like, cuz you are the one going to ride it. as long as you are happy with it, you should not care too much about other poeple's opinion. as long as it is reliable.

I'm probably one of the few here that have ridden one. A sport bike it is not. But as an everyday, fun, and sport orientated bike? Most def! It has enough pep to get up and go, get you in trouble, hand have fun on some twisties. You won't be winning any races with it but you'll have a good time. The cool thing is that you'll be comfy.

Ryne, I actually looked into these as well about 2 yrs ago. I had a bud that had one and he like it. Said it was way more comfortable than his "sport bike".. Seating was more coosh and easier on his back. Id rock it for sure. Pull the stickers off and make it your own. Im sure you can find parts for the bike to inter change as well.

I checked out the SVF, its cool but I am not a big fan of the naked look. I dont know maybe I have been institutionalized. But I love the Bobber look on cruisers. So who knows. Thanks for your info though. I am having more trouble finding bikes in my price range. I dont think a lot of the cheaper bikes are updated to the websites as often. Or mayeb they just dont sit on the floor that long.

or they're just not as popular. everybody wants teh latest and greatest or coolest.

"standard" bikes are practical and most buy for the above reason vs practical
