LOL I live just down the road from there, been through that intersection MANY times.

Coming from either direction, with a ton of speed, you could get caught by the turn and end up dumping it and landing in the gas station parking lot.

There are tons of light and signage though, no reason it should happen, but it still does- I've seen quite a few cars lose it in that turn too.

I passed by there I didn't know it was a motorcycle accident. I think they were just cleaning up when I rolled by. Why wouldn't they take him to Methodist hospital right across the street?? Its probably 30 seconds away...

If he's jacked up bad enough, Methodist can't handle it. He'll need a level 1 trauma center, aka, Hermann or Ben Taub. With no traffic, an ambulance can get him to the Med Center faster than they can call for Life Flight, get the bird on the ground and the guy loaded, and transport him by air.
